The first activity sets will be available in Fall 2002. Contact your favorite Seibun Dealer and ask them for price and availability. A full list of Seibun dealers can be found at www.seibunUSA.com. Or contact Harris Educational by clicking here.
Each activity set consists of a CD-ROM that contains activities that can be performed using Coach Software and CoachLab Hardware. Printable student worksheets and instruction sheets as well as teacher instruction sheets and worksheet answer keys are also conveniently located on the CD-ROM. Activities are aligned to the National Science Standards, build upon teacher developed activities that can be freely downloaded at the Seibun USA website, and are a great way to integrate the use of technology in your physical science or physics classroom. Some activity sets also contain technology education activities including programming and control activities.
Using these kits and Coach probeware it is possible to teach activities in a new and exciting way that your students will better understand and better retain. Every activity is a hands-on inquiry based activity. Students can construct the kits in order to learn how they work, then test them using probeware in order to generate and analyze data that reinforces the concepts they learned while building the kit..

Seibun Mind Development Kits are designed for hands on learning. Each kit engages students imagination and engages their minds as they construct the kit and perform experiments. These kits are not toys, but they do appeal to a child's need to explore and to work with real world devices and materials. Each kit is well designed, sturdy, and contains parts and materials that would cost ten times as much for teachers to assemble from individual parts and pieces.
For example: The Solar Space Explorer Kit contains
Motor/Generator (with pre-soldered wires)
Gearbox
Two AA Battery Boxes with easy connect springs
Switch with easy connect springs
Solar Panel
Fan
Vehicle Body (can be used as cart, car, or vehicle)
Light Bulb Base and Bulb (with pre-soldered wires)
Hookup Wire
Assembly and Basic Activity Instructions
Online Support and free lesson downloads
Support of electronic measurement via CoachLab Activity Sets
Each kit is ideal for classroom or laboratory explorations in science and technology, or for individual experimentation and science fair activities. Assembly requires no special tools or equipment.
