Reinventing Science Kits are Designed to be used in the Classroom, Home-School,
or the Science Fair. Individual units and classroom sets are available. The kits are
correlated to the National Science Standards and to the Standards for Technological
Literacy. They are designed to teach concepts of science, technology, history, and
invention. Kits are designed around the great inventions and the great inventors in
order to give relevance to the subject matter and in order to give students hands-on
inquiry based learning experiences that will excite them about science and let them
have fun while they are learning. Kits include optional probeware extension activities
for those teachers and schools that are equipped with the technology of probeware
for data logging and analysis. Kits are designed with safety in mind and are made
from over 50% recycled materials. Refurbishment materials for kits that require
them are available from any distributor of these products. The first two kits
"Reinventing Edison: Build your own Light Bulb" and "Reinventing Morse: Build your
own Telegraph" will be available November 15th 2003 with more kits under
development by Harris Educational for release in 2004 and into 2005.
Kits are designed with safety in mind but should not be used without the
supervision of an adult or instructor. Follow all safety instructions found
in each kit's instructions as well as any safety instructions particular to
your own school.
